  • Bernie Tarin - Founder

    Former corporate executive turned filmmaker, Bernie made a U-Turn in life to follow his lifelong passion for film.

    While on sabbatical in 2017 he enrolled in Film School at Scottsdale’s School of Film + Theater, where he studied cinematography, lighting, film theory, history of film, screenwriting, and motion picture production.

    His first exposure to film was Raising Buchanan (2019) where his passion for film was solidified and the U-turn on life seemed fitting for the establishment of U-Turn Motion Pictures.

    Since then he has been working on films as a director of photography for Anti Corona Virus (2020), House of Quarantine (2020), Instant Karma (2021), Reflect (2023) and Woman in the Maze (2023), Fortis Famina (2023) and the Last Movie Ever Made (2023).

    Today, he is working on several feature film projects in various stages of production including Sicarias (2024), Dark Side of Night (2024), Familia (2024), and Universal Precautions (2024).

  • Michael Delano - Executive Producer

    Michael has over ten years of solid industry experience in the Film and Commerical industry.. Based in Los Angeles, Michael has assembled a team of editors, and production professionals. He shoots anywhere and everywhere on the planet for medium to large clients.

    Over time, Michael DeLano has engineered a thriving company and assembled an award-winning crew that has mastered the art of visual storytelling. He persists on the cutting edge of production technologies and techniques, continually enhancing our methodologies and equipment so we can offer our clients the highest quality films, video and photography experiences.

  • Julie Perez - Writer

    Julie is a talented writer with publishing success including 60+ articles, a documentary, and two shorts with an extensive and geeky engineering background.

    She regularly practices stand-up comedy to polish off her writing chops. Her dark humor and dedicated work ethic make her a great fit for U-Turn Motion Pictures.

    Her current contributions to U-Turn Motions Pictures include three scripts ready for production and will continue to develop future projects.

  • Jason Britton - Supervising Editor

    Jason is a multi-talented filmmaker, well-versed in the creative, business, and technical aspects of motion pictures and post-production. With more than 12 years of experience in post-production, including post-supervision, workflow, editing, motion graphics, visual effects, and finishing, Jason has the ability to tackle nearly any post-production project.

    Prior to starting his career managing post-production, delivery, and IT at Cloudburst Entertainment, Jason spent 5 years overseeing post and delivery at Pure Flix Entertainment (now Pinnacle Peak Pictures) for 20 theatrical feature films, along with dozens of TV movies and series. Prior to his tenure at Pure Flix, Jason spent 2 years as an online editor and mastering technician at Roush Media, managing workflow and deliverables on over 100 movies, series, and commercials.

    Jason is the go-to post-production person for film and video. He relishes the chance to problem-solve or troubleshoot even the most challenging projects. Jason holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in film production from Chapman University in Orange, CA. While not posting like a superhero, Jason enjoys traveling with his wife, watching movies, and spending time with their pets at home in Phoenix, AZ.

  • Michael D. Stehl - Production

    Michael is a talented screenwriter with a passion for writing that has been evident since his early years. He was awarded the Best Junior Narrative in The Voices competition during high school, which cemented his desire to pursue a career in the industry.

    After graduation, Michael secured an internship as a production coordinator and film festival programmer with Applied Art Productions for the Chandler International Film Festival, as well as the Hollywood Boulevard & Canadian Diversity Film Festivals. During his tenure, he reviewed and screened over 300 films, and managed festival websites and operations.

    In addition to his work in production, Michael has also acted in a number of films and has collaborated with Baga Films on multiple projects, taking on various character roles.

    Currently, Michael serves as the Unit Production Manager for Hands-On Film Workshops at U-Turn Motion Pictures and in preproduction for their upcoming film, Sicarias (2024) and Dark Side of Night (2024).
